ALL are welcome to participate – bring your stuff and your people on June 15. STOP IT! YES – SERIOUSLY your stuff is good enough. Would I lie to you? You might even make enough money to buy more clay to make more stuff or even pay for classes. Come, no really, look at that magic your fingers have created and think about the fact that someone will want to buy it to give to their father for Father’s Day.
All Students, Open Studio Members, Instructors & Guelph Potters Guild Members are all welcome to participate.
Drop off and instructions on labelling will be arranged prior. Volunteers will be needed BUT you don’t need to stand behind a table all day. You don’t need to handle cash or find float, the city takes care of all the sales and the taxes.
30% of the sales will go to the City to support the Pottery Programs. For further information please contact the Guelph Potters Guild at guelphpottersguild@gmail.com

Making Pottery this summer
Please keep in mind 3 events when making pottery this summer or when planning your volunteer activities for the fall.
⇒ The Guelph Potters’ Guild is tentatively scheduling our fall sale for late September, so mugs would be a good thing to make + more - types of pottery.
⇒ There's also an opportunity for you to make a difference in our community by donating to Harvest Bowls. This fundraiser for the Chalmers Community Centre is a chance to help raise money for those in need while doing what you love...making pottery! An article in Guelphtoday.com features GPG Member and Harvest Bowl organizer, Rhondda Lymburner. “Local potters donate bowls and restaurant owners donate soup. Supper guests buy a $35 ticket to enjoy as many of the soups as they like, and they keep the bowl. It happens on the last Wednesday of October in the Three Willows sanctuary. ‘We raise about $12,000 for the purchase of food for Chalmers Community Service Centre,’ said Lymburner” ... “‘We’ve had a number of potters that donate pottery bowls to us over the years. We collect as many bowls as we can, and then we contact various restaurants for soup.’” ⇒ And lastly, there’s the jointly run City of Guelph and GPG annual sale on the first Saturday of December. We are looking forward torunning another successful event at the Victoria Road Recreation Centre.
